Primrose dress - PDF sewing pattern - US 0-22

PDF sewing pattern + instructions to make the Primrose dress or top.

The Primrose dress is an elegant dress with sculptural pleats around the waist to create a corset-inspired feminine silhouette. The top and skirt parts are gently draped around the body to create fluid movement, and the dress has an invisible zipper at the centre back. The pattern includes mini, midi and maxi dress lengths, as well as a top version – making it a versatile pattern suited to any occasion, from Sunday brunches to wedding guest looks. For an added dose of whimsy, the dress can be finished with small bow details.

12 sizes: US 0-22 (EU 32-54, UK 4-26) 

Sewing level: intermediate given it includes an invisible zipper installation, experienced beginners are also welcome.

Fabric suggestions:

Main fabric: light weight fabrics with a soft and flowy drape will work best (plain woven, no stretch, under 150g/m²). Suggested options: cotton lawn or cotton sateen, a soft linen, challis, chambray, Tencel/lyocell, cupro, natural or (semi)-artificial silks (polyester, viscose/rayon, or (tri-)acetate): duchess, satin, crepe, crepe de chine, charmeuse.

Fusible interfacing: light weight, at least 60cm x 6cm (23 3/5 x 2 4/5 inch) for the dress versions or 50cm x 6cm (19 4/5 x 2 4/5 inch) if making the top version in size 0-10 or 54cm x 6cm (21 2/5 x 2 4/5 inch) for size 12-22.
