Dawson dress - PDF sewing pattern - US 0-22

PDF sewing pattern + instructions to make the Dawson dress. Inspired by sun-drenched European summers and slow afternoons in cobbled villages, the Dawson dress is an elegant shirt dress with short sleeves and a softly gathered multi-tier skirt. A button-front closure and tie belt create a flattering, feminine silhouette. For an added dose of romance, the dress can be finished with broderie anglaise lace details at the sleeves and skirt.

The pattern is very versatile, with each fabric choice giving the dress a unique look. It also provides a great base pattern and has multiple pattern hack ideas included.

12 sizes: US 0-22 (EU 32-54, UK 4-26) 

Sewing level: intermediate, confident beginners with some sewing experience also welcome.

Fabric suggestions:

Main fabric: light to medium weight fabric (plain woven, no stretch, under 150g/m²). Cotton, linen, ramie, challis, poplin, chambray, suiting fabric, natural or artificial silk (duchess, taffeta, satin, crepe, crepe de chine)

Fusible interfacing: light weight, 0.5 meter / 0.6 yards

Lace embroidery trim detail (Style B only): (poly)cotton broderie anglaise lace trim (c.7-12 cm width recommended based on preference), OR: you can make your own trim using a (poly)cotton broderie anglaise fabric (instructions are included in the pattern)
